Who are we? What do we want?

Dear Langeoogerinnen, dear Langeooger,

we are eight candidates: from the Langeoogers list, with work, family and center of life on Langeoog.

Together we face our responsibility. We are both long-time residents and newcomers to Langeoog, come from a wide variety of professional and personal areas and have a common goal.

Langeoog’s future depends on whether we promptly fulfill the debt relief agreement with the state of Lower Saxony and regain the trust that has been lost in the district and the state. In order for Langeoog to regain its financial ability to act for investments in the future, resolutions are urgently needed in order to implement the debt relief agreement with the state of Lower Saxony. This requires a swift and compatible solution for the HDI (Haus der Insel) and KWC (Kur und Wellness Center).

We want to be perceived as a reliable partner again. It will no longer be possible to continue like this without adhering to contracts and binding agreements.

Our goal is to implement a respectful and constructive communication culture as well as joint solutions with the council and administration. Together we are committed to shaping the work in the council through cohesion, solidarity and constructive and respectful interaction with one another for the benefit of the island. We face our responsibility to restore reliability in agreements and trust between the administration and the council.
